Trish’s level of care and expertise makes your pregnancy and birth a dream. I loved that I could bring my two year old with me to my appointments and let her be a part of the experience, without worry of her bothering someone. Part of my birth plan was to have our son in the water naturally. After 2 hospital births with epidurals and doctors with a not so great experience both times, I needed something different this time around. I had such a different outlook on birth and thought I could have better experience. I knew was capable of a natural birth and wanted to prove it to myself that I was strong enough to have one. I won’t lie, at first I was not as confident as I wanted to be. Trish made sure to ease my worries and gave me confidence in my body’s abilities. She educated me and allowed me to make every single decision regarding my birth. Not once did I feel pressured or uneducated about decisions that had to be made. She made sure to provide unbiased information and everything was always in my control. Something I was not used to compared to my first two births.

The day I went into labor I learned that my husband wouldn’t be back in time to make the birth. He left for work that morning because there were zero signs of labor. Throughout labor I had incredible support from Trish and Suzannah. They did such a wonderful job at keeping me in the right state of mind throughout the painful process of labor. My two older boys unexpectedly were a part of the birth as well. The plan was to drop them off at a family members but when that plan fell through new decisions had to be made. Trish asked if the boys were going to stay in the room once I entered the tub and I chose to allow my sons to make that decision. Trish took a few minutes to break down the details of labor so they knew what would be happening. She did a FABULOUS job at breaking it down in a way that a 7 and 9 year old could understand in order to make their decision. They chose to stay. Trish and the rest of the midwives were so attentive to us all. I never felt like they were a burden to them. They were so supportive of every single decision made.

Not only was their care phenomenal before and during childbirth but the after care has been just as wonderful. They truly do care for the women that come to Bliss and make sure your experience is not forgotten. You are not just a number. That’s how I always felt delivering in a hospital. Everyone at Bliss goes way above and beyond to provide a safe and loving space. This experience has way surpassed my expectations. I will forever be grateful for their impact in my life and for providing such extraordinary care during such a transitional time in our lives.”
