Prenatal Care
Initial Consultation: We know you have many choices, so we offer this as a free visit to help your decision-making process.
When you choose to make us a part of your birth team, we take the time to get to know you, and for you to know us during unhurried prenatal appointment building that trusting relationship that is so important for an optimal birth.
Prenatal visits are every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, then weekly until the birth of your baby.
Prenatal education is a part of every visit. In addition, we will offer a variety of educational opportunities, classes, and events.
Laboratory testing and ultrasounds.
Education about alternative health modalities to help with common pregnancy complaints.
Birth
On-call: Your Bliss birth team is on call three weeks before and two weeks after your due date from 37 to 42 weeks for your labor and birth.
Caring for you during the childbirth process while monitoring the health and progress of you and your baby.
Waterbirth is an option if desired.
Postpartum
Breastfeeding support: Your Bliss birth team will help you establish breastfeeding during your immediate postpartum period and support you in the weeks following birth until breastfeeding is well established.
Newborn care: Examining your newborn and providing care for you and baby during the postpartum period
A Postpartum home visit
Additional postpartum visits in the office at 2, and 6 weeks.
